Messages and notifications needed to provide communication features

This data is stored securely using Supabase, a third-party backend provider. You can delete your account at any time from the app settings.
b. Location Data
If you grant permission, the App may access your device's location to:

Improve map functionality
Your location is processed on your device and is not stored by us.
c. Public and Community Data
Some information you provide may be visible to other users, including:

Your username, avatar, bio, supporter badge, and public profile
•
Campsite photos, captions, posts, comments, likes, and public activity
•
Friend/follow actions where shown by the App
Private messages are not intended to be public, but they are stored so the messaging feature can work and may be reviewed only when needed for safety, support, legal, or moderation reasons.
d. Usage Data
We may collect limited, non-identifiable data such as:

App usage, such as screens visited
This helps us improve performance and fix issues.
e. Stored Preferences
The App may store some preferences locally on your device, such as:

App settings and layout preferences
This data does not leave your device.
2. Third-Party Services
The App uses third-party services that may collect or process information, including:

Supabase for backend, authentication, storage, and database
•
Map providers, such as Apple Maps or Google Maps
•
Video platforms when users add video links, such as YouTube
•
Payment providers if supporter contributions or in-app purchases are enabled
•
Analytics tools, if enabled
These services have their own privacy policies. Payment providers may process payment details directly; we do not store full payment card details.

4. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal data.
We may share or process data only as needed to operate the App, including with service providers such as Supabase, map providers, analytics/crash tools, payment providers, or when required by law or safety needs.
5. User-Generated Content
Content you post publicly, such as campsite photos, captions, forum posts, comments, public profile details, and supporter badge status, may be visible to other users.
Please do not post sensitive personal information you do not want others to see.
6. Reports and Moderation
If you report content or another user, we may store the report details and make them available to admins or moderators for review.
We may review content, accounts, messages, or related records when needed for safety, support, legal compliance, or abuse prevention.
7. Account Deletion and Retention
You can delete your account from the app settings if this feature is available.
When your account is deleted, we will remove or anonymize account information where reasonably possible. Some information may remain temporarily in backups or may be retained where needed for safety, moderation, legal compliance, or community continuity.
